Who is the Garagefather -
Johnny Walker

I’m a proud graduate of the University of North Florida’s Construction Management program and earned my MBA in Marketing from Florida Institute of Technology. For over a decade I've worked building materials industry, helping architects and contractors design and install our materials to help their projects come to life.  After years behind the scenes, I launched The Garagefather to bring premium craftsmanship and serious pride back to the most overlooked room in the house.

The idea for Garagefather was born out of personal frustration at the state of my own garage, which had been taken over by children's bikes, toys, tools and junk. It got so bad that I was embarrassed to open the garage door. I wanted to have a garage I could be proud of and thought others might feel the same way.

The name? It’s a nod to the idea that family comes first, and respect is earned. I’m a husband, a father of three, and a Jacksonville local through and through. My kids attend Cornerstone Classical Academy, and my family and I are actively involved with Ocean City Church. This community means everything to me, and I treat every garage like it’s my own. 

This isn’t just about floors and cabinets. It’s about transforming a space into something that works hard, looks sharp, and commands respect. The Garage is the only room in your house that strangers walking on the street can see.  When that door rolls up, your garage represent you to the neighborhood. It should speak to your hard work, and dedication to the family.
